Grain fumigation is required when an insect infestation is identified – this could be in a barn or the grain itself. There are lots of pests that thrive in grain stores, with weevils, mites and beetles being some of the most common. If you spot any insects in or around your grain, or any other signs that something just isn’t right, we will pay you a visit to identify what pests are present. This allows us to deliver a service that is tailored to your exact needs.
Left untreated, an infestation can spread rapidly, and this can have serious consequences for your crop. Our grain fumigation process prevents further damage, helping you to contain the issue.
After our initial inspection and assessment, we will get to work preparing the site, ensuring that everything is safe and complies with all UK regulations. Your safety and satisfaction are our top priority, and you can be sure that our team will work with that in mind at all times.
Once all of our preparation is complete, we will begin applying a fumigant to your grain store. The fumigants that we used are industry-approved and are powerful enough to eradicate pests at every life stage. Once the treatment time has passed, we will then ventilate the area thoroughly so that you can begin using it again.
After we have carried out grain store fumigation, we will conduct a final inspection to make sure that all of the pests have been eradicated. We also provide expert advice on how to prevent future pest issues. We know how pests operate, and we can identify vulnerable areas of your grain storage and put solutions in place to stop them from getting in. We can also provide advice on proper storage hygiene, including our pre-harvest grain store treatments.
